ACCOUNTANCY firm Townends has appointed a new partner at its York office.
Hayley Hudson joined as a trainee in 2008, straight after sitting her GCSEs, and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2015.
She said: "I remember being nervous about starting my role here, but from day one it was clear Townends has a unique approach to acting for family-run businesses.
"This is reflected in its invested approach to supporting staff, both in developing them as members of the team and as professionals."
Hayley has been instrumental in developing the company's accounting service for the dental sector, a specialist area that has been growing rapidly and now has more than 800 clients nationwide.
Partner Jeff Williamson said: "Hayley's story is a terrific example of how opportunities for progression can be realised for those who have a strong desire to do so.
"We are pleased to have Hayley as a partner. Her strategic approach and excellent client handling skills are an asset to the business."
