WORK colleagues turned to to Business Support York and North Yorkshire (BSYNY) when they had the opportunity to acquire the firm they worked for.

Richard Fox, Alan Pratt and Anthony Mitchell found they needed expert help to guide them through the acquisition of digital design and media business Bow House of Easingwold.

Through BSYNY they engaged with support specialist Mike Everitt, who encouraged them to apply for access to the Regional Growth Fund Start & Grow programme that provides three-years pre and post-start business support worth up to £5,000.

Director Mr Pratt, an experienced web developer, said: “Mike told us about the funded programme and helped us to apply. This gave us access to quality business support when we needed it and Mike has always been responsive to our needs.

“We haven’t run a business before and the support across a range of business topics from legal, finance, employees and business development is invaluable.’

Mr Everitt said: “Here are three people who have great skills and knowledge and who I’m confident have identified opportunities to build the business. Whilst the acquisition was protracted I am pleased to have supported them and look forward to adding value to their business going forward.”

The new team took over through a management buyout and have an impressive range of clients.
