RIVERFORD Organic Farmers’ franchisees Liz and Iain Pocklington won the Engaging Young Minds title at this year’s Hambleton Business Awards.
The Pocklingtons’ business, Riverford Home Delivery, was nominated by Crayke Primary School’s PTA for its engagement with schools as part of Riverford’s Veg Fund campaign.
The campaign aims to raise money for schools while encouraging healthy eating. For every parent who signs up through their school for organic veg box deliveries, the school receives £15. Crayke PTA secretary Christine Waite said the school would receive £150 this year, which would be spent on activities and trips.
Mrs Pocklington is pictured receiving the award from Hambleton District Council chairman Cllr John Noone.
