A YORK Gift shop has renewed the lease on its premises in Fossgate.
Give the Dog a Bone opened 13 years ago, selling unusual presents, homeware and greetings cards. The business employs ten people.
Owner Adam Rodway has renewed the shop’s lease for ten years. Langleys Solicitors in York acted on the lease deal.
Mr Rodway said: “Fossgate is a great location for the shop and the area is becoming pretty vibrant with new businesses opening and the development of the Macdonalds furniture shop into a restaurant.”
The business also sells online and was recently listed as one of the top ten independent shops in York by Angela Horner, chair of Fashion City York.
Emma Warner, partner in commercial property with Langleys, said: “Give the Dog a Bone is one of York’s best known independent shops, selling something that bit different. We are pleased to have supported Adam in his lease renewal.”
