BEFORE picking up the crown of Press Business of the Year 2015 MooD International took to the stage to claim the Dare to Export title.
The software firm has already seen its success in international trade result in a hat-trick of Queen’s Enterprise Awards, the third of which was awarded this year.
Based at York Science Park, MooD International is used by large organisations across the world to improve their grasp of what drives business performance.
The firm, which employs a team of 93, has devised a software system which visualises a company’s “Business Landscape” of moving parts and connections, to give decision-makers a clear understanding about options and consequences.
In recent years, MooD solutions have been instrumental in delivering efficiency gains and savings of hundreds of millions of pounds to the British Government and to the economies of major enterprises.
With exports accounting for 30 per cent of revenues, and the company’s software now being used in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
While the software has been cited as critical to the company’s success, so has its staff.
MooD employs a team of 93 in around 10 different locations across the UK, with 30 new members of staff this year alone.
