A YORK ice cream manufacturer has secured a new distributor to supply its products throughout Yorkshire and the North East.
Yorvale, based in Acaster Malbis, is now available through wholesale company Yorkshire Quality Foods, based in Richmond.
The deal will see the family run business represented in cafes, restaurants, farm shops and hotels from Northumberland and Cumbria to south of the Humber.
Gail Blanchard, sales and marketing representative for Yorkshire Quality Foods, said that dealing with local suppliers is very important to the company.
She said: "We wanted to introduce a local, quality ice cream and Yorvale is in Yorkshire and fits the bill, which is ideal for us.
"I have tasted the Yoryog and I think it's a good, healthy alternative to ice cream."
Last month Yorvale increased its listing with supermarket giant Tesco from nine to 57 stores in Yorkshire, in addition to its retail listings independent retailers, farm shops and delis across the region.
