BILL Tasselli's business may be called The Duck of York Ltd, but he hasn't yet quacked the York retail market.
Customers from faraway Iceland and Brazil have ordered many of his limited edition US-imported Rubba Duck brand.
But it ruffles Bill's feathers that there are no shop outlets in his hometown or anywhere in North and East Yorkshire for what elsewhere is a craze.
Since the 46-year-old former civil servant launched his business in summer, 2005, demand has boomed for these collectors' items, particularly from his retail website, and his recently acquired shop network. Why no outlets in our region?
Online inquiries for new lines like Cow Duck - dressed in real fabric Stetson hat - "prove that the demand which can be met by local gift shops locally is out there, " says a puzzled Bill.
