THREE hospitality businesses in one tiny North Yorkshire village have been sold.
In the space of six months, deals have been done on the sale of a pub, a self-catering business and a guest house in the picturesque village of Wrelton, about two miles west of Pickering.
Agents for all three, Colliers Robert Barry, report a total of £1.72 million changed hands as a result.
Peter Bean, director at Colliers Robert Barry in Leeds, said: "It is entirely coincidental that three diverse business properties have come to the market in one village in one year.
"It is nice to see the sales completed, vendors moving on to new things and buyers enjoying their new lifestyle.
"Wrelton is an attractive village on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, so the properties are very well located for tourists and have a high level of amenity value for owners".
The businesses are The Buck Inn, a traditional Yorkshire freehouse, Rocklands Lodges, a self-catering business set in three acres of pine trees and landscaped gardens, and The Huntsman, a four-bedroom guest house bought for conversion to holiday cottage accommodation.
Colliers Robert Barry covers Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Country Durham and Northumberland and works closely with the corporate and international team based in London.
Sales last year also included The Golden Fleece Hotel overlooking Thirsk market square, the 20 bedroom two star George & Dragon at Kirkbymoorside and the Grade II listed Old Lodge Hotel, Malton.
