A NEW warehouse at a major multi-million pound development in Thirsk has been leased to Howden Joinery Ltd.
Five new jobs will be created when joinery and ancillary products trade supplier Howden Joinery Ltd moves into the 8,000 sq ft unit at Concept Business Court, Thirsk Industrial Park, purpose-designed and built by Severfield-Reeve Projects (SRP), this month.
Mark Churchill, Howden Joinery's head of property, said: "Our nearest branch to this is in York. We have been seeking a location in Thirsk for some time from which to serve the trade in this part of North Yorkshire as part of an on-going programme to extend our national network.
"The Thirsk location and development have been approved by our senior management and we are looking forward to opening today."
Concept Business Court, which is on a 1.7 acre site, includes three more warehouse units, one of 6,000sq ft and two of 3,000sq ft and six small office units
