THE Yorkshire Association of Business Angels (YABA) has said it is struggling to invest in regional business.
The association of private investors said it has recently made two investments outside the region – mobile commerce app builder MobiCart, in Newcastle, and microbiological testing company BACTEST, in Cambridge – because Yorkshire businesses were not coming forward for funding.
Barbara Greaves, YABA manager, said: “YABA’s growing number of Yorkshire angel members would love the opportunity to not only help businesses but also grow the economy within their own region, so I would like more Yorkshire businesses seeking investment to get in contact with us.”
