TOWERING and flowering talent will be on display at a major two-week arts exhibition in York, starting tomorrow.
The venue will be the New School House Gallery at The Old Schoolhouse in Peasholme Green, and it is in itself a powerful argument for the gallery’s submission as the Best Higher Education Link award in The Press Business Awards 2010.
Started in December by Paula Jackson and Robert Teed, the gallery aims to show an inspiring and innovative mix of work from local, national and international artists of repute.
This latest exhibition, titled 53 Degrees North showcases the work of 53 higher education students from the University of York St John, York College, Harrogate College and Yorkshire Coast College, Scarborough.
They are among 17 higher education institutions making their mark.
Paula said: “We are really impressed with the diversity of art forms and talent and this will be the first of an annual show case of higher educational arts degree students.”
