Mortgage Advice Bureau York

A COMMITMENT to putting its customers first has helped financial services business Mortgage Advice Bureau York make a name for itself since it was established by Craig Elliott in 2009.

After a number of years working within estate agencies, Mr Elliott made the decision to open independently on the high street to offer expert advice to the general public in areas such as purchasing property and re-mortgaging.

Over a three-year period, Mr Elliott grew the business from a one-person operation to employing five members of staff. It is now set for further expansion.

He said: “We ensure that all of our clients are looked after on a personal basis, ensuring that full advice across all financial areas is provided. Exclusive mortgage deals, customer service during and after the application and state-of-the-art technology are some of the reasons why our clients return to Mortgage Advice Bureau York.

“All our business is based around referrals, and this means that customer service is our number one priority, he explained.

“With our recent expansion into business protection and wealth management, our offering covers all possible aspects for our clients. These opportunities will only increase as we aim to bring on board more experts in the year ahead and move into larger York city centre premises.

“And with the increased demand to obtain lower mortgage rates, we are in a very strong position to assist all our clients, Mr Elliott added.

High Petergate-based Mortgage Advice Bureau York are no stranger to winning awards, having scooped the Top Business Most Improved in the business category at the MAB Awards 2019.

Mr Elliott added: “On a personal point, I am York born and bred. I have a desire to keep my business in the city centre. Even though the retail markets are struggling, I want to promote the fact that we are based out of York for all our businesses and bring businesses across to our new offices to promote what we have on our doorstep.”
