CITY OF YORK COUNCIL NOTICE OF MAKING THE YORK PARKING, STOPPING AND WAITING (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/25) TRAFFIC ORDER 2017

CITY OF YORK COUNCIL NOTICE OF MAKING THE YORK PARKING, STOPPING AND WAITING (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/25) TRAFFIC ORDER 2017 Notice is hereby given that on the 7th day of December 2017 City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 53 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, made an Order which has the effect of:
1. Amending the 'Guest House and Multiple Occupancy' parking provision in Bootham Terrace on its south east side between points 140 metres and 160 metres south from the highway boundary line on the south west side of Bootham to introduce a 24 hour Community Parking place with a 10 minutes maximum period of stay for non permit holders.

2. Introducing a 24 hour parking place in Claremont Terrace, York between points 2 metres and 7 metres south east of the north western property boundary line of The Villa, Claremont Terrace to provide a 30 minute limited parking place for 'Non-Permit' holders with a 30 minutes No Return' period, thereby revoking the existing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions from within that length.

3. Amending the traffic regulations to accurately reflect and confirm amendments to the 'on street' layout of signage relating 'Residents' Priority' parking area in Claremont Terrace, York thereby formerly restricting parking in the alleyways adjacent to 1 and 34 Claremont Terrace and to the rear of properties 1-16 and 17-34 Claremont Terrace to R14 Permit Holders.

The Order comes into effect on 11th day of December 2017.
A copy of the Order incorporating relevant maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of any regulation thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date of making of the Order, make application for that purpose to the High Court.

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL THE YORK TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/5) ORDER 2017

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, proposes to make an Order which will have
the effect of:
Revoking the restriction on vehicles from making a right turn from Museum Street into Library Square.
A copy of the draft Order, Statement of Reasons for making it and relevant maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Objections or other representations specifying reasons for the objection or representation should be sent to me in writing to arrive no later than 29th day of December 2017.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), in respect of each of the locations numbered (1) and (2).
(1) GARDEN PLACE, YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Garden Place, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0800hrs and ending at 1700hrs on the 7th day of January 2018 (works period) or at a time when nearby building works being undertaken by crane operation from the closed road have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(2) BRAESIDE GARDENS, YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Braeside Gardens, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0800hrs on the 9th day of January 2018 and ending at 2400hrs on the 10th day of January 2018 (works period) or at time when water connection works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
The above temporary Order will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/ restrictions.
