CITY OF YORK COUNCIL NOTICE OF MAKING THE YORK TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/) ORDER 2017

Notice is hereby given that on the 16th day of November 2017 City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 1, 2,4 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, made an Order which has the effect of:

Introducing a restriction on vehicle movements at junctions in York as follows:

(a) Restricting vehicles from making a 'U' turn when proceeding from Eboracum Way at its junction with Layerthorpe;



(b) Restricting vehicles (Except Pedal Cycles) from making a left turn from Tanner Row into George Hudson Street.



The Order comes into effect on the 22nd day of November 2017 NOTICE OF MAKING THE YORK PARKING, STOPPING AND WAITING (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/28) TRAFFIC ORDER 2017 Notice is hereby given that on the 16th day of November 2017 City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 53 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, made an Order which has the effect of:

1. Extension of existing Disabled Person's (Blue Badge) Parking Place on the south west side of Walmgate, York between points 313.3 and 315 metres south east from the projected centreline of St Deny's Road. Thereby revoking the existing joint 'Residents' PriorityVPay and Display parking bay from within that said length.

2. Extension of existing 'Residents' PriorityVPay and Display parking bay on the south west side of Walmgate, York between points 298.3 and 300 metres south east from the projected centreline of St Deny's Road. Thereby revoking the existing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions from within that said length.

3. Revocation of 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions on the south side of Grosvenor Road between the projected western property boundary line of No 16 Grosvenor Park and a point 5 metres west of the said line.



4. Re-defining the boundary of Zone R30 (LAYERTHORPE) Residents' Priority Parking Area to exclude that area within the development boundary area of No. 31A Hawthorn Grove which is subject of planned redevelopment for residential purposes thereby removing that area from within the Zone.



5. Re-defining the boundary of Zone R12 (MARYGATE) Residents' Priority Parking Area to exclude that area of Marygate Landing, Marygate which is subject of obstructive parking which restricts planned flood defence operation from been undertaken thereby removing that area from within the Zone.



6. Introducing "Restricted Parking Zone" on Marygate Landing, Marygate York, between the projected northern propertyboundaryline of The Boathouse, Marygate south for the remainder of its length to be identified as Zone P2.



7. Restricting lengths of Marygate, York within the proposed "Restricted Parking Zone" at paragraph 9 as 'No Waiting at anytime' restrictions the said lengths being identifiable by the placement of upright traffic signs at the zone entry and repeater signs along the lengths of restricted roads (as opposed to the placement of road markings adjacent to the kerb).



The Order comes into effect on 20th day of November 2017.

A copy of the above Orders incorporating maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of any regulation thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date of making of the Orders, make application for that purpose to the high court.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 16th day of November 2017 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1) and (2). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered

(3), (4), (5), (6) and (7).

(1) VARIOUS ROADS, YORK

This Order prohibits where necessary, vehicles from proceeding and waiting at anytime in the whole or in any length of a road listed in the schedule below (restricted roads) between such times and on such dates during the validityofthe Order as shall be determined bythe Council in order to safely and effectively carry out carriageway resurfacing works. Relevant times and dates will be notified in writing to occupiers of premises adjacent to a restricted road not less than 48 hours before the said prohibition comes into effect in that road. The Order will commence on 19th day of November 2017 and expires on 1st dayof December 2017 or when all works have been completed whichever is the earlier. An alternative route for diverted traffic for the respective locations will be signed where applicable/appropriate. It is envisaged that the works at each location will be undertaken between the dates listed in the Schedule below and with the exception of Queen Victoria Street, Burton Green and Heworth Road will be undertaken between 8.30am and 5.30pm during the validity of the Order. In Queen Victoria Street and Burton Green it is envisaged that the works will be undertaken between 9.15am and 5.00pm and the Heworth Road works will be undertaken between 8am and 6pm. SCHEDULE

Heworth Road, York at its junction

with Heworth Village, Melrosegate - 19th November 2017 (Sunday), 8am - 6pm and East Parade

Bouthwaite Drive, York - 20th and 21st November 2017, 8.30am - 5pm



Sandyridge, Nether Poppleton - 22nd November 2017, 8.30am - 5pm Queen Victoria Street, York - 23rd and 24th November 2017, 9.15 am - 5pm



Burton Green, York - 27th November to 1st December 2017, 915am - 5pm



(2) UNION TERRACE & WIGGINTON ROAD, York This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting on Union Terrace from the northern junction with Clarence Street to the projected northern property boundary of No. 98 Union Terrace (closed road) during the period between 0001 hours to 2400 hours on the 19th day of November 2017 and between 0001 hours to 2400 hours on the 26th day of November(works periods) or at time when highway improvement works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. In addition the length of footpath on the Wigginton Road elevation of the Groves Chapel Development will be closed between 0001hrs and 2400hrs on the 26th day of November 2017. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Access to Union Terrace will be possible from the southern junction with Clarence Street. A diversion for pedestrians around the footpath closure will be available and signed on the 26th November

(3) KILBURN ROAD, YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Kilburn Road, York between the respective western property boundary lines of No.'s 12 and 20 Kilburn Road (closed road) during the period commencing at 0800hrs and ending at 1300hrs on the 26th day of November 2017 (works period) or at time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(4) HAXBY STATION LEVEL CROSSING, HAXBY This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding through the Haxby Station Level Crossing on Station Road, Haxby (closed road) during the period commencing at 0930hrs and ending at 1430hrs on the 29th day of November 2017 (works period) or at time when track maintenance works have been completed whichever is the earlier. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Station Road, Towthorpe Road, Strensall Road, A1237, York Road, Station Road and vice versa.

(5) MAIN STREET, DEIGHTON This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Main Street, Deighton between therespective southern propertyboundariesofEppleworth and IvyDene(closed road) during the period commencing at 0900hrs and ending at 1600hrs on the 30th day of November 2017 (works period) or at time when electricity works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(6) NORTH LANE, HAXBY This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in (i) North Lane, Haxby and (ii) the road linking North Lane to the Village (closed road) during the period commencing at 0800hrs on the 29th dayof November 2017 and ending at 2400hrs on the 13th dayofDecember 2017 (work period) or at time when telecommunication works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Itis envisaged thatthe works will be completed in three phases during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(7) UNION TERRACE, YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Union Terrace, York between the northern junction with Clarence Street and the projected eastern property boundary line of No. 99 Union Terrace (closed road) during the period between 0001hrs on the 27th dayof November 2017 and 2400 hours on the 15th dayofDecember 2017 (works periods) or attime when highwayimprovementworks being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Access to Union Terrace will be possible from the southern junction with Clarence Street. The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns.
