NOTICE OF MAKING THE YORK PARKING, STOPPING AND WAITING (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/26) TRAFFIC ORDER 2017

CITY OF YORK COUNCIL NOTICE OF MAKING THE YORK PARKING, STOPPING AND WAITING (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/26) TRAFFIC ORDER 2017 Notice is hereby given that on the 6th day of July 2017 City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 53 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, made an Order which has the effect of:
1. Introducing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions in York as follows:

(i) Eboracum Way, on both sides, between its junction with Layerthorpe and a point 92 metres north of the said junction (terminal point of existing 'No Waiting at anytime' restrictions);

(ii) Fifth Avenue, on its south west side, between the projected south eastern property boundary line of No. 70 Fifth Avenue and a point 5 metres south east of the said line (terminal point of existing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions).

2. Re-defining 'Residents' Priority' parking area thereby bringing within the R5 zone the existing 24 hour R60 'Community' parking provision on the north side of Holgate Road between a point 34 metres east from the projected centreline of St Paul's Square and a point 86 metres east of the said line.

3. Re-defining 'Residents' Priority' parking area thereby bringing within the R37 zone the existing 24 hour R60 'Community' parking provision on the north side of Holgate Road between a point 34 metres east from the projected centreline of St Paul's Square and a point 86 metres east of the said line.

4. Introducing 24 hour City Car Club parking places in:

(i) Campleshon Road, York on its south side between points 48 metres and 54 metres west of the centreline of Trafalgar Street;

(ii) Dundas Street, York on its north side between points 15 metres and 21 metres north west of the north western kerbline of Black Horse Lane.

5. Removal of 24 hour City Car Club parking place in Campleshon Road, York on its south side between points 39 metres and 45metres west of the centreline of Trafalgar Street.

6. Formalising existing Disabled Person's (Blue Badge) Parking Place on the south west side of St Benedict Road, York;

(i) between the projected south eastern property boundary line of No. 26 Nunthorpe Road and a point 6.7 metres north west of the said line, thereby revoking the existing community residents parking bay restriction from within that length;

(ii) between the projected south eastern property boundary line of No. 29 Nunthorpe Road and a point 13.4 metres north west of the said line, thereby revoking the existing community residents parking bay restriction from within that length.

The Order comes into effect on 10th day of July 2017.
A copy of the Order incorporating relevant maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of any regulation thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date of making of the Order, make application for that purpose to the High Court.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 6th day of July 2017 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1) and (2). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of the location numbered (3).
(1) CINDER LANE, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Cinder Lane, York between its junctions with Heworth Green and Wood Street (closed road) during the period when water works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0800hrs and ending at 1700hrs on the 10th day of July 2017 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(2) ELVINGTON LANE (B1228), YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of Elvington Lane, Dunnington/Kexby/Elvington between its junctions with Common Lane and Dauby Lane (closed road) during the period when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 2300hrs on 8th day of July 2017 and ending at 1600hrs on the 9th day of July 2017 or at a time and date when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(3) DERWENT ROAD, YORK
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Derwent Road, York between the respective western property boundary lines of No.'s 6 and 14 Derwent Road (closed road) during the period commencing at 0800hrs on the 24th day of July 2017 and ending at 2000hrs on the 28th day of July 2017 (works period) or at time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
The above temporary Order will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
