NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YORK (PART OF THE FORMER NO. 2 AREA OF THE COUNTY OF THE WEST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE) DEFINITIVE MAP WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.9 ASKHAM BRYAN MODIFICATION ORDER 2017 On 26 June 2017 The Council to the City of York confirmed the above named Order.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the definitive map and statement for the Part of the former No. 2 Area of the County of the West Riding of Yorkshire by adding to them the Footpath from its junction with York Road proceeding in a south, south easterly direction across Askham Bryan College, to its junction with the A64. A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Map have been placed and maybe seen free of charge during normal office hours at City of York Council, West Offices, Station Rise, York, YO1 6GA, until 14 August 2017. Copies of the Order and Map may be bought there at the price of £1.50. The Order took effect on the date it was confirmed, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Schedule 12 to the Act, within six weeks from 3 July 2017 make an application to the High Court.
