CITY OF YORK COUNCIL OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES NOTICE OF VARIATION OF CHARGES JUNE 2017

City of York Council, having made a resolution to vary the charges for those "off-street" parking places set out in The York Off-Street Parking Places Order 2013 or any replacement thereof, hereby gives notice in accordance with Sections 35C and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the revised charges will take effect on Saturday the 1st day of July 2017. This Notice has the effect of amending the provisions of the said Order by deleting the existing charges and substituting the revised charges wheresoever they are required to be changed to accord with the following schedules:

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 8th day of June 2017 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2) and (3). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (4), (5) and (6).

(1) NEW EARSWICK FOOTPATH NO 29/5/10, NEW EARSWICK This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of closed footpath, known as New Earswick Footpath No 29/5/10 between points 180 and 420 meters north east of its junction with Haxby Road, New Earswick (closed footpath), during the period when replacement drainage works are being undertaken thereon. The prohibition commences at 0001hrs on the 12th day of June 2017 and ends at 2400hrs on the 1st day of July 2017 or on a date when the said works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that with the exception of a 2 day period during the works, that the footpath will only be closed whilst construction vehicles access/egress from the works area. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be signed during the 2 day works period.

(2) BOOTHAM LEVEL CROSSING, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding through the Bootham Level Crossing on Wigginton Road, York (closed road) during the period when track maintenance works are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 2230hrs on the 14th day of June 2017 and ending at 0600hrs on the 15th day of June 2017 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Wigginton Road, Haxby Road, A1237, Wigginton Road and vice versa.

(3) MICKLEGATE, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in (i) Micklegate, York between its junctions with Queen Street and Bar Lane (closed road) and (ii) the west bound traffic lane (outbound) of Micklegate, York between its junctions with George Hudson Street and St Martin's Lane (closed traffic lane) during the period when Micklagate Bar Renovation works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0001hrs on the 12th day of June 2017 and ending at 2400hrs on the 22nd day of October 2017 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period. The works will be undertaken in phases and it is envisaged that between:

(a) 12th June 2017 and 18th June 2017 all vehicular traffic will prohibited from proceeding (pedal cycles may be pushed) through Micklegate Bar.

(b) 19th June 2017 and 2nd July 2017 all vehicular traffic except pedal cycles will be prohibited form proceeding through Micklegate Bar.

(c) 3rd July 2017 and 1st October 2017 all vehicular traffic except pedal cycles will be prohibited from proceeding in the south westerly traffic lane (outbound) through Micklegate Bar.

(d) 2nd October 2017 and 22nd October 2017 all vehicular traffic except pedal cycles will be prohibited form proceeding through Micklegate Bar.

(4) HOLGATE ROAD, YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Holgate Road, York between its junctions with Dalton Terrace and Watson Street (closed road) during the period commencing at 2300hrs on 18th day of June 2017 and ending at 0600hrs on the 20th day of June 2017 (works period) or at time when bridge inspection works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is envisaged that the closure will only be put into effect during overnight periods between 2300hrs and 0600hrs during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(5) VANGARDE WAY, YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Vangarde Way, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on 28th day of June 2017 and ending at 2400hrs on the 11th day of July 2017 (works period) or at time when carriageway remedial works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is envisaged that the closure will only be put into effect in two phases during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(6) MILLFIELD LANE, NETHER POPPLETON
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Millfield Lane, Nether Poppleton between its junctions with Church Lane and Nether Way (closed road) during the period commencing at 0800hrs on 26th day of June 2017 and ending at 2400hrs on the 28th day of June 2017 (works period) or at time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/ restrictions.
