CITY OF YORK COUNCIL NOTICE OF PROPOSALS THE YORK PARKING, STOPPING AND WAITING (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/25) TRAFFIC ORDER 2017 Notice is hereby given that City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 53 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, proposes to make an Order which will have the effect of:
1. Re-defining the boundary of Zone R12 (Marygate) Residents' Priority Parking Area to exclude the area to the rear of 64 Bootham which is subject of planned redevelopment for residential purposes thereby removing that area from within the Zone.

2. Re-defining the boundary of Zone R18 (WALMGATE) Residents' Priority Parking Area to exclude that area within the property boundary of Nelson House, 31 Walmgate which is subject of planned redevelopment for residential purposes thereby removing that area from within the Zone.

3. Re-defining the boundary of Zone R25 (The Groves) Residents' Priority Parking Area to exclude that area within the property boundary of 64 Clarence Street which is subject of planned redevelopment for residential purposes thereby removing that area from within the Zone.

A copy of the draft Order, Statement of Reasons for making it and relevant maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Objections or other representations specifying reasons for the objection or representation should be sent to me in writing to arrive no later than 28th April 2017.
NOTICE OF PROPOSALS THE YORK SPEED LIMIT (AMENDMENT) (No 14/10) ORDER 2017
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 82, 83, 84 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, proposes to make an Order which will have
the effect, of:
introducing a 20 miles per hour (mph) speed limit in that length of:
(i) Gale Lane, York, between the south western property boundary line of No. 183 Gale Lane (terminal point of existing 20mph speed limit) south west for the remainder of its length;

(ii) Thanet Road, York, between a point 17 metres south east of the south eastern kerb line of St James Place north west for the remainder of its length;

(iii) Foxwood Lane, York, between the south western kerb line of Gale Lane and a point 45 metres south west of the said line;

thereby revoking the existing statutory 30 mph speed limit from within those lengths. A copy of the draft Order, Statement of Reasons for making it and relevant maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Objections or other representations specifying reasons for the objection or representation should be sent to me in writing to arrive no later than 28th April 2017.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 6th day of April 2017 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2) and (3). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (4).
(1) OSBALDWICK LANE/WYCLIFFE AVENUE, YORK This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footpath linking Osbaldwick Lane and Wycliffe Avenue, York (closed footpath) during the period when footpath repair works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0800hrs on the 10th day of April 2017 and ending at 1600hrs on the 11 th day of April 2017 (works period) or at a time/date when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(2) HULL ROAD, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in the central reservation traffic lane of Hull Road, York between a point 75 metres east of the projected western kerbline of Pinelands Way and a point 30 metres west of the said kerbline (closed traffic lane) during the period when telecommunication works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0930hrs on the 10th day of April 2017 and ending at 2400hrs on the 12th day of April 2017 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(3) HOWDEN LANE, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Howden Lane, York between its junctions with A19 and B1222 (closed road) during the period when tree felling works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0900hrs and ending at 1500hrs on the 10th day of April 2017 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be available during the works period.
(4) BACK LANE FROM THE VILLAGE TO SOUTH LANE, HAXBY This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in the Back Lane from The Village to South Lane (known locally as Tiger Lane), Haxby (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 24th day of April 2017 and ending at 2400hrs on the 1st day of May 2017 (works period) or on a time/date when new drain connections works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns.
