CITY OF YORK COUNCIL NOTICE OF MAKING THE YORK PARKING, STOPPING AND WAITING (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/9) TRAFFIC ORDER 2016
Notice is hereby given that on the 8th day of December 2016 City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 53 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, made an Order which has the effect of:

1. Introducing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions in Green Lane, Acomb, on both sides between a point 12 metres south of the northern property boundary line of No. 129 Green Lane, Acomb south for the remainder of its length.

2. Re-defining the boundary of Zone R18 (WALMGATE) Residents' Priority Parking Area to exclude that area within the property boundary of 18 George Street and Stamford House, George Street which is subject of planned redevelopment for residential purposes thereby removing that area from within the Zone.

The Order comes into effect on 12th day of December 2016.
A copy of the Order incorporating relevant maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of any regulation thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date of making of the Order, make application for that purpose to the High Court.
NOTICE OF PROPOSALS THE YORK PARKING, STOPPING AND WAITING (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/23) TRAFFIC ORDER 2016 Notice is hereby given that City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 53 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, proposes to make an Order which will have the effect of:
1. Introducing'No Waiting at any time' restrictions in York as follows:

(a) Bishopthorpe Road, on its west side, between a point 23.5 metres north of the projected centreline of Campleshon Road and a point 17 metres south of the said line;

(b) Campleshon Road, on its north side, from the projected western kerbline of Bishopthorpe Road west for 35.5 metres;

(c) Campleshon Road, on its south side, from the projected western kerbline of Bishopthorpe Road west for 19.5 metres;

(d) Holgate Road, on its north side, between points 13 metres (terminal point of existing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions) and 32 metres (terminal point of existing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions) west form the projected centreline of Wilton Rise, thereby revoking existing Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm parking place from within that length;

(e) Holgate Road - service road adjacent to the north western boundary of No 154 Holgate Road, on its south east side, between points 13 metres (terminal point of existing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions) and 16.5 metres north from the projected north eastern kerbline of Holgate Road, thereby revoking existing 'No Waiting' 8am to 6pm restrictions from within that length.

2. Introducing a 24 hour Parking Place in Holgate Road - service road adjacent to the north western boundary of No 154 Holgate Road, on it south east side, between points 16.5 metres and 38 metres north from the projected north eastern kerbline of Holgate Road, the said parking place providing a limited parking period of 180 minutes with a 60 minutes 'No Return' period, thereby revoking existing 'No Waiting' 8am to 6pm restrictions from within that length.

3. Re-defining the boundary of Zone R15 (BISHOPHILL) Residents' Priority Parking Area to exclude that area within the property boundaries of No. 34 Buckingham Street and 62 Skeldergate which is subject of planned redevelopment for residential purposes thereby removing that area from within the Zone.

4. Re-defining the boundary of Zone R22 (DEWSBURY TERRACE) Residents' Priority Parking Area to exclude that area within the property boundary of Oliver House, Bishophill Junior which is subject of planned redevelopment for residential purposes thereby removing that area from within the Zone A copy of the draft Order, Statement of Reasons for making it and relevant maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Objections or other representations specifying reasons for the objection or representation should be sent to me in writing to arrive no later than 6th January 2017.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 8th | day of December 2016 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2), (3) and (4).
(1) POPPLETON STATION LEVEL CROSSING, UPPER POPPLETON This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding through the Poppleton Station Level Crossing on Station Road, Upper Poppleton (closed road) during the period when track maintenance works are being undertaken that period commencing at 2235hrs on the 10th day of December 2016 and ending at 1045hrs on the 11 th day of December 2016 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Station Road, Long Ridge Lane, Millfield Lane, A1237, Boroughbridge Road (A59), Station Road and vice versa.
(2) STRENSALL NO. 2 LEVEL CROSSING, STRENSALL This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding through the Strensall No. 2 Level Crossing on Moor Lane/Princess Road, Strensall (closed road) during the period when track maintenance works are being undertaken that period commencing at 2315hrs on the 12th day of December 2016 and ending at 0600hrs on the 13th day of December 2016 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Moor Lane, Ox Carr Lane, York Road, Princess Road and vice versa.
(3) HAXBY STATION LEVEL CROSSING, HAXBY This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding through the Haxby Station Level Crossing on Station Road, Haxby (closed road) during the period when track maintenance works are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 2315hrs on the 13th day of December 2016 and ending at 0600hrs on the 14th day of December 2016 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Station Road, Towthorpe Road, Strensall Road, A1237, York Road, Station Road and vice versa.
(4) COPMANTHORPE LANE, BISHOPTHORPE This Order prohibits (i) vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of Copmanthorpe Lane, Bishopthorpe between its junctions with Appleton Road and Kirkwell (closed road) and (ii) pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footpath on the south side of Copmanthorpe Lane, Bishopthorpe between its junctions with Appleton Road and Kirkwell (closed footpath) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 19th day of December 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 23rd day of December 2016 or at a time/date when footpath reconstruction works being undertaken to the closed footpath have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/ restrictions.
