THE COUNCIL OF CITY OF YORK NOTICE PURSUANT TO SECTION 123(2A) OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 (AS AMENDED) PROPOSED DISPOSAL OF OPEN SPACE LAND LAND NEAR B1224/WETHERBY ROAD, KNAPTON, YORK Acting under its powers in the above legislation. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of York ("the Council") intends to dispose of land near B1224/Wetherby Road, Knapton, York currently comprising fields/arable land and a small area of temporary wood meadow ("the Property") to the Secretary of State for Environment Food and Rural Affairs on behalf of Forestry England by way of a lease for a Term of up to 120 years ("the Proposed Disposal"). The terms of the Proposed Disposal would include reserving rights for the public to use the Property for recreation after Forestry England have developed a community woodland on the Property.
