TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 8,h day of July 2021 in respect of the locations numbered (1), (2) & (3). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of the locations numbered (4) & (5).

M) WIGGINTON ROAD LEVEL CROSSING, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding through Wigginton Road Level Crossing, York (closed road) during the period when track maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 2350hrs on 10"1 day of July 2021 and ending at 0800hrs on the 11* day of July 2021 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period

f21 BRECKS LANE. STRENSALL This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Brecks Lane and Thompson Drive, Strensall between the junction with The Village and the junction with Stuart Close including the entrance sections to Park Gate and Steadings Yard (closed road) during the period when road resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0930hrs on 12"' day of July 2021 and ending at 1630hrs on the 16th day of July 2021 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is expected that the road will only be closed between 0930hrs and 1630hrs daily. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period

(3) ALMERY TERRACE-RIVERSIDE FOOTPATH. YORK This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of footpath between Almery Terrace and the riverside footpath, York (closed footpath) during the period when flood defence works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0001 hrs on 12* day of July 2021 and ending at 2359hrs on the 30" day of July 2021 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians will be signed during the works period

(41THANET ROAD. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Thanet Road, York between the junction with Eason View and the north western projected boundary of property No. 279 (closed road) during the period when road resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 091Shrs on the 19th day of July 2021 and ending at 1600hrs on the 22nd day of July 2021 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Access to Southfield Crescent will be restricted during the works period. It is expected that the road will reopen overnight between 1600hrs each afternoon and 0915hrs the following morning. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period

(5) MICKLEGATE BAR. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from proceeding and waiting in that length of road, including footways, on Micklegate & Blossom Street, York between the junction of Micklegate with Bar Lane and the north eastern projected boundary of property No. 5 Blossom Street, York (closed road) during the period when building survey works are being undertaken on Micklegate Bar, commencing at 0800hrs and ending at 1700hrs on the 19th day of July 2021 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. At least one footway will be kept open for the duration of the works. Cyclists will be required to dismount and walk their bikes through on the footway. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions. For further information please contact
