NOTICE OF CONFIRMING OF A POBLIC PATH ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 NORTH YORK MOORS NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY Public Footpath, Cold Kirby No. 25.118/200 (Hambleton & Hotel Plantations) Public Path Diversion Order 2020 On 12 November 2020 the North York Moors National Park Authority confirmed the above Order under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert that part of Public Footpath, Cold Kirby No 25.118/200 by extinguishing the full width of that part of Public Footpath Cold Kirby No 25.118/200 commencing at Grid Reference SE 5170 8321 (Point A) and running in a generally northerly and then easterly direction for a distance of approximately 412 metre to its junction with Unclassified County Road (U8001/9/30) at Grid Reference SE 5204 8330 (Point B), then crossing the said Unclassified County Road to Grid Reference SE 5205 8330 (Point C) where it continues in a generally easterly direction to Grid Reference SE 5232 8328 (Point D] and creating and alternative footpath commencing at Grid Reference SE 5170 8321 (Point A) and running in a generally easterly direction for a distance of approximately 385 metres its junction with the Unclassified County Road (U8001/9/30) at Grid Reference SE 5208 8319 (Point FJ then crossing the said Unclassified County Road to Grid Reference SE 5207 8317 (Point E) then continuing in an easterly and then northerly direction for a distance of approximately 306 metres to Grid Reference SE 5232 8328 (Point D), as shown on the Order map.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Thirsk Post Office, 32-34 Market Place, Thirsk. North Yorkshire, Y07 1LB. Copies of the Order and map may be obtained by contacting Legal Services, Scarborough Borough Council, Town Hall, St Nicholas Street, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YOll 2HG. The Order came into force on 12 November 2020 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published, make an application to the High Court.
