TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 30th day of January 2020 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7), (8) and (9). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (10) and (11).

(11 DAVYGATE. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Davygate, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 1800hrs on the 2nd day of February 2020 and ending at 0600hrs on the 3rd day of February 2020 or at a time when nearby roof maintenance works being undertaken by crane operation from the closed road have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

12) FAWCETT STREET. FISHERGATE. PARAGON STREET-PICCADILLY & TOWER STREET. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in those lengths of (i) Fawcett Street, York; (ii) Fishergate, York between its junctions with Piccadilly and Paragon Street; (iii) Paragon Street, York between its junctions with Fishergate and Fawcett Street; (iv) Piccadilly, York between its junctions with Tower Street and Lead Mill Lane; (v) Tower Street, York between its junctions with Skeldergate Bridge and Piccadilly (closed road) during the period when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 1930hrs on the 3rd day of February 2020 and ending at 0500hrs on the 6th day of February 2020 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed roads will only be put into effect between 1930hrs and 0500hrs, during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(3) SALISBURY TERRACE-GARFIELD TERRACE. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road connecting Salisbury Terrace-Garfield Terrace, York (closed road) during the period when water works being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0001 hrs on the 3rd day of February 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 7th day of February 2020 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.

(4) MAIN STREET. COPMANTHORPE This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Main Street, Copmanthorpe between its junctions with St Giles Way and Station Road (closed road) during the period when water works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 3rd day of February 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 5th day of February 2020 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(5) CHURCH STREET. COLLIERGATE & GOODRAMGATE. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in those lengths of (i) Church Street, York, (ii) Colliergate, York and (iii) Goodramgate, York between its junctions with Deangate and King's Square (closed road) during the period when footway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. That period commencing at 1030hrs on the 3rd day of February 2020 and ending at 1700hrs on the 3rd day of April 2020 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted vehicles will be available during the works period. It is envisaged that:

(a) In Goodramgate the prohibition will only be put into effect between 1030hrs and 1700hrs Monday to Friday, during the works period.



(b) In Church Street and Colliergate the prohibition will only be put into effect between 1100hrs and 1700hrs Monday to Friday, during the works period.



(61 MONKGATE. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in length of road comprising of Monkgate and Goodramgate, York between its junction with Lord Mayors Walk and Ogleforth (closed road) (ii) vehicles from making a right hand turn from Lord Mayors Walk in to Monkgate and proceeding in the south east

bound filter lane on Lord Mayors Walk, York (closed traffic lane) (iii) vehicles from waiting on the south west side of Lord Mayors Walk, York between points 48 metres and 60 metres south east from the projected centreline of St John Street (restricted road) during the period when Traffic Signal Improvement works being undertaken nearby, commencing at 0001 hrs on the 8th day of February 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 27th day of March 2020 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be available during the works period. It is envisaged that:

(a) With the exception of the road closure in Monkgate/Goodramgate the prohibitions will be put into effect between the 8th day of February 2020 and 27th day of March 2020,



(b) The road closure in Monkgate/Goodramgate will only be put into effect between 1030hrs and 1700hrs each day, from the 8th day of February 2020 till the 14th day of February 2020.



(71 ST HELEN'S ROAD. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in St Helen's Road, York between its junctions with Eason View and Tadcaster Road (closed road) during the period when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0915hrs on the 10th day of February 2020 and ending at 1630hrs on the 12th day of February 2020 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(8) NEVILLE STREET. YORK



This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Neville Street, York (closed road) during the period when gas main replacement works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 10th day of February 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 6th day of March 2020 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(9) POPLAR STREET. YORK



This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Poplar Street, York (closed road) during the period when water works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 12th day of February 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 14th day of February 2020 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(101 STRENSALL NO. 3 LEVEL CROSSING. STRENSALL This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding through the Strensall No. 3 Level Crossing on Lords Moor Lane, Strensall (closed road) during the period commencing at 2330hrs on 19th day of February 2020 and ending at 0600hrs on the 20th day of February 2020 (works period) or at time when track maintenance works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via The Village, York Road, Ox Carr Lane, Flaxton Road, Lords Moor Lane and vice versa.

(111 FISHERGATE. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Fishergate, York between its junctions with Fewster Way, Barbican Court and Kilburn Road (closed road) during the period commencing at 1930hrs on the 17th day of February 2020 and ending at 0500hrs on the 26th day of February 2020 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the works will be completed in three phases and the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed roads will only be put into effect between 1930hrs and 0500hrs, during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period. The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions. 31 st January 2020
