CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 21st day of November 2019 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2) and (3). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (4) and (5).

(1) MALLARD WAY. HAXBY

This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Mallard Way, Haxby between its junctions with Station Road and Woodcock Close (closed road) during the period when sewer works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0800hrs and ending at 1700hrs on the 27th day of November 2019 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(21 MOOR LANE. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Moor Lane, York between its junctions with A1237 and Cairnborrow (closed road) during the period when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 1930hrs on the 25th day of November 2019 and ending at 0500hrs on the 28th day of November 2019 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed road will only be put into effect between 1930hrs and 0500hrs, during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(3) NEWBURY AVENUE. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Newbury Avenue, York (closed road) during the period when water works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0800hrs on the 26th day of November 2019 and ending at 1800hrs on the 27th day of November 2019 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.

(4) ACASTER LANE. ACASTER MALBIS

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Acaster Lane, Acaster Malbis between points 30 metres north of the northern property boundary line of Holy Trinity Church, Acaaster Lane and 30 metres south of the southern property boundary line of Holy Trinity Church, Acaster Lane (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs and ending at 2400hrs on the 2nd day of December 2019 (works period) or at time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(S\ CROFT COURT. BISHOPTHORPE This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Croft Court, Bishopthorpe (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 2nd day of December 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 6th day of December 2019 (works period) or at time when sewer works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period. The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions. For further information please contact

This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period. The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns.
