TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 12th day of September 2019 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1) (2), (3) and (4). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (5), (6), (7), (8), (9) and (10).

HI FARMLANDS ROAD. YORK

FARMLANDS ROAD. YORK

This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Farmlands Road, York between its junction with Chaloner's Road and a point 40 meters west of the said junction (closed road) during the period when electricity works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 18th day of September 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 20th day of September 2019 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.

(21 LAYERTHORPE/HAWTHORN GROVE. YORK

This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of Layerthorpe and Hawthorn Grove, York between their respective junctions with Hallfield Road and Mill Lane (closed road) during the period when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 2000hrs on the 16th day of September 2019 and ending at 0500hrs on the 20th day of September 2019 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed roads will only be put into effect between 2000hrs and 0500hrs, Monday to Friday during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(31 QUEENS STAITH. YORK

This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Queen's Staith, York between the southern property boundary line of East Coast House and the western property boundary line Woodsmill Quay (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 16th day of September 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 22nd day of January 2021 or at a time when delivery operational works being undertaken by crane operation from within the closed road have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(41 GRANTHAM DRIVE & POPPLETON ROAD. YORK

This Order prohibits vehicles from making a right hand turn from Grantham □rive in to Poppleton Road and from Poppleton Road in to Grantham Drive and proceeding in the south east bound filter lane on Poppleton Road, York between a point 20 metres north west and 20 metres south east of its junction with Grantham Drive (closed traffic lane) during the period when sewer works being undertaken thereon have been completed that period commencing at 2200hrs on the 19th day of September 2019 and ending at 0300hrs on the 20th day of September 2019 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(51 A1237. YORK

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting that length of the A1237, York between its roundabout controlled junction with Moor Lane and the roundabout controlled junction with Askham Fields Lane (closed road) during the period commencing at 2000hrs on the 20th day September 2019 and ending at 0530hrs on the 5th day of October 2019 (works period) or at time when carriageway investigation works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, the 7.5 tonne wait restriction on Moor Lane is suspended during the works period to allow all classes of vehicles in the said road when the overnight closures are put into effect. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed road will only be put into effect between 2000hrs and 0530hrs, on each night during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(61 MILL LANE. YORK

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Mill Lane, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0800hrs on the 23rd day of September 2019 and ending at 1700hrs on the 27th day of September 2019 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed roads will only be put into effect between 0800hrs and 1700hrs, Monday to Friday during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(71 MILLFIELD LANE. NETHER POPPLETON

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding through Nether Poppleton Level Crossing, Millfield Lane, Nether Poppleton (closed road) during the period when track maintenance works are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 2300hrs on the 26th day of September 2019 and ending at 0630hrs on the 27th day of September 2019 or on a date when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. The prohibition on traffic (other than local buses) at the junction of Millfield Lane and Low Poppleton Lane will be suspended during the periods when the prohibition at the crossing is put into effect. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Low Poppleton Lane, A59 Boroughbridge Road, A1237 York Outer Ring Road, Link Road between the A1237 and Millfield Lane and vice versa.

(81 JAMES STREET. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of James Street, York between its junctions with Lawrence Street and Foss Islands Link Road (closed road) during the period commencing at 1930hrs on the 30th day of September 2019 and ending at 0500hrs on the 5th day of October 2019 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed roads will only be put into effect between 1930hrs and 0500hrs, Monday to Friday during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(91 BISHOPTHORPE ROAD AND SCARCROFT ROAD. YORK

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting those lengths of (i) Bishopthorpe Road, York between its junctions with Vine Street and Charlton Street; (ii) Scarcroft Road, York between its junctions with Bishopthorpe Road and Nunmill Street (closed road) during the period commencing at 1900hrs on the 30th day September 2019 and ending at 0500hrs on the 5* day of October 2019 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed roads will only be put into effect between 1900hrs and 0500hrs, during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(101 ELMFIELD AVENUE. YORK

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding in the south east bound traffic lane of Elmfield Avenue, York between its junctions with Sefton Avenue and Malton Road (closed traffic lane) during the period commencing at 1900hrs on the 2nd day of October 2019 and ending at 0600hrs on the 3rd day of October 2019 (works period) or at a time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
