CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 25th day of July 2019 in respect of the location numbered (1). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (2), (3), (4), (5) and (6).

(1) GILLYGATE. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Gillygate, York (closed road) during the period when sewer works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 29th day of July 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 2nd day of August 2019 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.

(2) OGLEFORTH. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Ogleforth, York (closed road) during a period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 12th day of August 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on 15th day of August 2019 (works period) or at a time when sewer works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.

(3) NEWBURY AVENUE. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Newbury Avenue, York (closed road) during a period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 19th day of August 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on 21st day of August 2019 (works period) or at a time when electricity works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.

(4) LITTLE HALLFIELD ROAD. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Little Hallfield Road, York (closed road) during a period commencing at 1800hrs and ending at 2300hrs on 27th day of August 2019 (works period) or at a time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.

(51 NUNTHORPE ROAD. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Nunthorpe Road, York between its junction with Upper Price Street and the north western property boundary line of No. 54 Nunthorpe Road (closed road) during a period commencing at 0800hrs and ending at 1700hrs on 29th day of August 2019 (works period) or at a time when sewer works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.

f61 POPPLETON STATION LEVEL CROSSING. UPPER POPPLETON This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding through the Poppleton Station Level Crossing on Station Road, Upper Poppleton (closed road) during the period commencing at 2300hrs on 31st day of August 2019 and ending at 0940hrs on the 1st day of September 2019 or at time when track maintenance works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Station Road, Long Ridge Lane, Millfield Lane, A1237, Boroughbridge Road (A59), Station Road and vice versa.

The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
