NOTICE OF PROPOSAL THE YORK TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT (AMENDMENT (NO 14/61 ORDER 2019

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, proposes to make an Order which will have the effect of: Prohibiting vehicles from proceeding within that length of Knavesmire Road slip road leading into York Racecourse, between its northern point with Kidney Island and a point 2 metres south of the said point, except that this prohibition does not apply to a pedal cycle.

A copy of the draft Order, Statement of Reasons for making it and relevant maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Objections or other representations specifying reasons for the objection or representation should be sent to me in writing to arrive no later than 12th day of July 2019.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 20th day of June 2019 in respect of the location numbered (1). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (2), (3), (4), (5) and (6).

HI PECKITT STREET. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Peckitt Street, York (closed road) during a period commencing at 0700hrs on 22nd day of June 2019 and ending at 1900hrs on 23rd day of June 2019 (works period) or at a time and date when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for the diverted traffic will be available during the works period.

(2) FAIRFIELDS DRIVE. SKELTON This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Fairfields Drive, Skelton between its junctions with Shipton Road (A19) and Burtree Avenue (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 1st day of July 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 12th day of July 2019 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken on the A19 have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(3) WIGGINTON ROAD/HAXBY ROAD/CLARENCE STREET. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting those lengths of (i) Wigginton Road, York between its junctions with Haxby Road and Crichton Avenue; (ii) Haxby Road, York between its junctions with Wigginton Road and Markham Street; (iii) Clarence Street, York between its junctions with Lord Mayor's Walk and Wigginton Road/Haxby Road; (iv) Lowther Street, York between its junction with Haxby Road and a point 10 metres south east of the said junction

and (v) Townend Street, York between its junction with Clarence Street and a point 10 metres south east of the said junction (closed road) during the period commencing at 2200hrs on the 30th day June 2019 and ending at 0500hrs on the 15th day of July 2019 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, the 'ONE WAY' direction of traffic flows in Lowther Street and Townend Street are suspended during the works period to allow two-way traffic flow in the said roads when the overnight closures are put into effect. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed roads will only be put into effect between 2200hrs and 0500hrs, Sunday to Thursday during the works period and the works will be undertaken in three phases. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(4) BOOTHAM. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Bootham, York between its junction with Gillygate and a point 20 metres north west of the said junction (closed road) during the period commencing at 2100hrs on the 17th day of July 2019 and ending at 0200hrs on the 18th day of July 2019 (works period) or at time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(5) AUDAX ROAD. YORK

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Audax Road, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 1930hrs on the 22nd day of July 2019 and ending at 0500hrs on the 2nd day of August 2019 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed roads will only be put into effect between 1930hrs and 0500hrs, Monday to Friday during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

f61 THREE CRANES LANE. YORK This Order will prohibit pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in Three Cranes Lane, York (closed footpath) during the period commencing at 0800hrs on the 1st day of July 2019 and ending at 1700hrs on the 5th day of July 2019 (works period) or on a date when sewer works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period.

The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
