CITY OF YORK COUNCIL THE YORK [SPEED LIMIT) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 14/3) ORDER 2019 NOTICE OF MAKING Notice is hereby given that on the 19th day of June 2019 City of York Council ("the Council") in exercise of powers under Sections 82, 83, 84 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, made the above (Amendment) Order giving permanent effect to part of the provisions of The York (Speed Limit) (Experimental) Traffic Order 2018 (Experimental Order) thereby revoking the said Experimental Order. The provisions of the Experimental Order which came into effect on the 19th day of February 2018 and which are being continued on a permanent basis: Revoke the 30 miles per hour (mph) speed limit in that length of Hopgrove Lane (South), Huntington/Stockton-on-the-Forest between points 63 metres and 141 metres south east from the projected centreline of Brandon Grove, thereby allowing a statutory 60 mph speed limit to take effect within the said length. The Order comes into effect on the 20th day of June 2019. A copy of the (Amendment) Order, statement of reasons for making the provisions contained within it and map showing the lengths of road affected may be inspected at the City of York Council Reception West Offices, Station Rise, York, Y01 6GA during normal business hours. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of any regulations thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the commencement date of the Order, make application for that purpose to the High Court.
