BUTTERY Darrell George, MBE, DL Former Chair of York Civic Trust and York Georgian Society, Governor of York Merchant Adventurers, Historian and Author. Sadly passed away on 27th July 2022 at St Leonard's Hospice, York. An inspirational, popular and valued member of York Society and Champion of York's Heritage. He will be sorely missed by all those who knew him. Memorial Service to be held at York Minster on Tuesday 30th August, 2022 at 1.30pm, followed by private Cremation.
