I am so so sorry to hear the passing of Sam, she was one of the warmest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing and loving, she welcomed me into the ward family when I moved to York from Wales, some of my best memories of Sam were laughing till we were told by Sister Coyne to leave the ward and compose our selves. We spent many a night out in York and she was the first person I rang when my then boyfriend asked me to marry him on holiday. Over the years we have lost touch but would always reminisce when seen online, she was so happy when she met and married her soul mate Stuart who was her strength after her accident when her leg was broken and he helped nurse her back to health. When we all lost Brenda he was Sam's rock and I'm just sad that life got in the way and we never got to meet up after I left York. Sam you will always be in my memories and flange is one of those words that I cannot help but think of you and smile (its a tracheostomy term) another memory has hurt popped into my head while typing this is when we went for our tattoos she had her paw prints and I had my elephant and I'm sorry but we pinched a little emla cream to numb the area, I only have smiles when thinking of you Sam. My heart goes out to those you have left behind, your Dad Adam, sister Amanda, brother in law Howard and of course Stuart your soul mate and his daughter Zoe who you loved like your own you will be missed by many, but I feel for the folk that never got to meet you, because you were the best. Good night and God bless my beautiful and wonderful friend, Emma Forber-Roberts
