PEARSALL Professor Derek Albert Died peacefully at York Hospital on 14th October, aged 90 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Rosemary (Joy), father of Simon (deceased), Sarah, Mary-Ann, Judith, and Daniel, grandfather of Jamie, Elspeth, Tom, Gregor, Ben, and Jessica, brother of Ronald (deceased), and uncle of Jane. Retired University Professor, former Director of the Centre for Medieval Studies at York, and Gurney Professor of English, Emeritus at Harvard. Funeral Service to be held at York Cemetery Chapel, Cemetery Road on Monday 1st November, at 2.15pm. Please note parking is very limited; the closest public parking can be found at Q Park Barbican YO10 4AH. Family flowers only please.
