GARVEY Margaret Jane On Thursday April 1st, Margaret Jane Garvey (nee Owens) born January 25th, 1955 lost her 2 year battle with Glioma Cancer. She died peacefully at Fulford Nursing Home with her husband and eldest daughter by her bedside. Former music teacher and professional singer a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and auntie and a good friend to many. She leaves behind her husband of 40 years Professor Bob Garvey, two daughters Frances and Katherine and granddaughter Molly. Margaret's funeral will be at York Cemetery, Cemetery Road, York YO10 5AJ on Thursday April 15th, at 1.30pm. Due to Covid restrictions numbers are limited to 30 people but a youtube link is being provided on request. The family have requested no flowers, but donations can be made to Fulford Nursing Home.
