TIMOTHY JOHN OWSTON

OWSTON Timothy John Passed away on June 24th 2020, aged 63 in St. Leonards Hospice, due to a short illness bravely borne.Son of the late Charles and Agnes Owston. Dear brother of Jean, Terry, and Colin. Brother-in-law to Maggie and dear uncle to Ben, Harry, Yvonne, and Robin. A special Thank you to the Staff of St. Leonards and Ward 14 at York District Hospital, and for the cards and Good wishes sent to Tim. A Private Funeral will take place and a Celebration of Tim's life later.

I have only just learned about Tim Owston's passing and am very sad to learn it. I worked with Tim when I convened the MA in History and Politics at the University of York. He was an extremely efficient administrator, and I had many interesting conversations with him about local history. He was also my neighbour, and I often bumped into him on Bishopthorpe Road. I shall miss his smiling face and optimism.
