YZQUIERDO Margaret (nee Mitchell) A well known and well loved York restaurateur and business woman, who also worked in retail for many years. Margaret passed away peacefully at home after a long struggle with cancer. A much loved and fantastic friend to many and a devoted Grandmother. No floral tributes please, but donations in Margaret's memory to Cancer Research UK

Oh so very sad have only just heard that Margaret passed away last year. A much loved friend and we sadly lost touch these last 10 years through no fault of hers. Margaret was a loving caring friend who had time for everyone, always laughing and always immaculately turned out, looked like a super model. We worked together when I left school at Marshal & Snelgrove. Margaret taught me mischief and its fun I will never forget. RIP wonderful lady.

Margaret was only my friend for 3years since I moved to York,but I soon realised what a special lady she was. Will greatly miss her. Walking in to town along Bishy Road will not seem the same again. Rest in Peace. Angela x

I have only known Margaret a few years, but what a truly beautiful lady Margaret was, glamorous to the end and a lovely friend will be missed so much 🥰
