YORK Stage Musicals will present the York premiere of The Who's classic rock opera Tommy at the Grand Opera House, York, from September 9 to 13.
Director Robert Readman says: "One of the greatest albums in the history of rock has been transformed into a spectacular stage show. Already a Broadway and West End smash, Tommy is the ultimate British rock-musical experience, taking you on an amazing journey that spans three decades."
Pete Townshend's famous score for the story of Cousin Kevin, Uncle Ernie, Sally Simpson, The Acid Queen, and Tommy aged six, 12 and 20 includes Pinball Wizard and See Me Feel Me Touch Me Hear Me.
