HUGH Cornwell will hold a question-and-answer session at Wednesday's 6.30pm screening of his first film/DVD project, Blueprint, at City Screen, York. The former Stranglers singer, songwriter and guitarist is the subject of a feature-length film about his new album, Hoover Dam, a solo release recorded and filmed at the all-analogue Toe Rag Studio in east London.
Cornwell has worked with music filmmaker Paul Green to capture his band - Cornwell on guitar and vocals, Caroline Campbell on bass, Chris Bell on drums - as they play the album live at Toe Rag.
Blueprint is being show exclusively at 12 Picturehouse cinemas across Britain for one night only, and Cornwell will attend each screening.
Blueprint will be shown once only at each cinema and there are no further plans to present the film on the British big screen.
The Hoover Dam album will be available to download for free from hughcornwell.com, but to encourage CD sales, the physical copies will include Blueprint on DVD.
For tickets for Blueprint and the chance to meet Hugh Cornwell, phone 0871 704 2054 or book at www.picturehouses.co.uk
