YORK singer-songwriter Jess Gardham has qualified for the regional final of Live And Unsigned, Britain's largest unsigned talent contest outside The X-Factor.
From 1,000 entrants, she is down to last eight solo acts, and will be the only female in that line-up on April 6 at The Willows Variety Centre, Willows Road, Salford. Doors open at 8.30pm for the 8.45pm start; admission is £7.50.
Only one act will qualify for the June final in London, where the winner will receive a record contract worth £20,000 from Futuresound.
At the regional final, Jess will perform Lead The Way with her band and two backing singers, and hopefully the song title will be an omen.
She has been given 60 tickets to distribute to her fans.
