An eight-foot giant hockey ballrolled its way into York as part of The npower Big Dribble.

It was a chance for local people to take part in a nationwide record attempt to “dribble” a hockey ball an incredible 2012km.

The npower Big Dribble, organised by Great Britain Hockey in aid of national children’s charity WellChild, invited local schools, families, sports teams and businesses to welcome the ball’s arrival in Parliament Street and to get involved in a range of free, fun hockey-related activities.

For those unable to attend yesterday’s event, Great Britain Hockey is encouraging the local community to host its own Little Dribble to raise money for WellChild.
