SHOPPERS in York were stopped in their tracks on Saturday when mannequins came to life in the windows of a department store.
Local models dressed in the style of the West End and Broadway hit Chicago appeared in the window of Fenwicks department store to mark the opening of the classic musical at the Grand Opera House on Monday.
Celestine Dubruel, press officer for the Grand Opera House, said: “Fenwicks have been absolutely brilliant, done all the models’ make up, costumes, and even found a wig for one of the girls. It’s a great way to celebrate Chicago’s first visit to York since 2009.”
The show runs until Saturday, April 21.
