Another course record attempt was underway at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai on Saturday - and this time it was Indian Jeev Milkha Singh having a go.

Singh went to the turn in 32 and after a bogey on the 10th birdied the next four holes. It made the 40-year-old seven under par for the day and he needed to pick up one more shot for a record-equalling 64.

Sergio Garcia had become the sixth player to achieve that figure in the second round - and that despite having two bogeys and a triple bogey seven on his card.

As for his standing in the tournament, Singh had improved from one over par to six under and from 50th place to 26th, still five behind joint leaders Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald and Marc Warren.
