The owners of Waterfront restaurant pride themselves on having served steak and seafood to the people of York for more than ten years.

The independent restaurant, situated on King's Staith, specialises in serving a range of fish when it comes into season - which is mostly sourced locally from Whitby - and a variety of steak dishes.

"We're probably York's most romantic restaurant, overlooking the river Ouse in York city centre."

Diners can enjoy a range of dishes, including king scallops, large whole sea bass, lobster thermador, whole king prawns, 'carpet bagger' - fillet steak stuffed with stilton cheese with a brandy and cream sauce - 'surf and turf' - steak topped with tiger prawns in a garlic sauce - and mussels. All dishes are inclusive of vegetables.

The 60-seater restaurant is open seven days a week, from 12.30 - 2pm, and 5.30 - 10pm. Prime time menu until 6.30pm.

There are also eight ensuite bedrooms available above the restaurant from £60 per night.
