Local Bus Services
The City of York Council Journey Planner provides timetables for public transport in the York Area.
The Businfo service gives details of routes and times and is designed to encourage people to travel by bus rather than car.
It operates between 8am and 8pm on weekdays and 8am until 2pm on Sundays.
The Businfo Service is available on 01904 551400 There is no central bus station in York, so buses depart from various locations around the City of York.

National Express connect York with many destinations throughout the UK, as well as several ports and airports, either directly or changing at a larger centre.
Coaches drop off their passengers at York Railway Station.
From York you can get to Leeds, Bradford, Birmingham, Manchester, Middlesborough, Newcastle, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Heathrow Airport and London, and also onwards to Europe.
