DIVISION three champions Enterprise added the Where In York Trophy to their haul from the York F1 Racing Premier Karting Sunday Morning Football League season.

Enterprise beat Cawood 3-2 in the final at New Earswick thanks to a penalty from Danny Sellars.

Enterprise's earlier scorers were Dale Lumley and Daniel Murphy.

The final of the Grand Central League Cup went the way of Wanderers, who were 2-0 winners over Pocklington Town.

Louis Howarth and top marksman Paul Beddingham were the scorers.

Thorpe added the Barkston Ash Trophy to their York FA Senior Cup victory after beating Kippax 2-1, with goals from Josh O'Neal and club secretary Adam Garner.

In division one, Hounds and Ainsty Panthers drew 3-3, while Hambleton finished their division two campaign with a 5-3 win over Cueball.

Hambleton's scorers were Dave Pavin, Ian Huddlestone, Greg Jennings and Dale Teale (2), with Amos Laverack, Andy Thompson and Glen Howells scoring for Cueball.

What a joke this final turned into!! The Enterprise second goal was actually an own goal and the winner was a dodgy re-taken penalty after the first hit the post and for some reason the "special" linesman asked for a retake stating he was unsure of what had happened during the scramble that had followed the first penalty. To make matters worse the ref decided to send off a Cawood player for foul and abusive (a good decision) but failed to do the same only issuing a Yellow when he was told to F**K Off by an Enterprise player. Yet again another game overshadowed by inconsistant officialdom . Well done to Enterprise on the double but I'm sure even they will be thanking the stars for some of those decisions that in my opinion robbed the better side of the Trophy.

Well done to Wanderers also who showed yet again that they are a great footballing side as they brushed aside a spirited Pock side.

It is becoming all to predictable and easy to blame officials if results do not go the way you would like. It is a growing trend that has caused referees to turn their backs on the game and leave York in a desperate shortage. (As a side note- to my knowledge Enterprise had twice comfortably beaten Cawood in the league 4-1 & 3-0. The sides finished 29 points apart in the division. So the final went completely to form and wasnt manipulated by "dodgy offialdom".

Revanoo will 'get thru this' next term when they lift the trophy. I'm 'never gonna leave the side' and 'i wanna know' if theres a better manager out there than Franny Lee

Also I had the cup tie piped into my sumptious pad via cable whilst enjoying some nosh and thought the Enterprise lads dun triffic for me, Richard. Top, top perfawmances and football was the winner. Were the officials to blame for the other 10 matches of Cawoods winless run also?

I was at New Earswick on Sunday morning to watch the Wanderers final.

Saw a fair bit of the WIY final and I thought the best team won. If Cawood had put as much energy into playing than they did whinning at the ref they might have done better.

Also, well done to Wanderers on their league & cup double.

I was just giving my opinion. I was on the side of the linesman that was not involved in the contentious decision but from were I was stood there seemed nothing at all wrong with the first missed penalty, or indeed the retake. In fairness to both teams the officials were poor on the day but you cannot excuse what happened with the red card, players who abuse officials deserve to walk, but that only happened to the Cawood player who gave the same remark as the Enterprise player. All in all I feel that 2-2 would have been a good reflection and also interesting as Cawood seemed on top in the closing exchanges.(would have been good for the fans too)

Yeah 10 games in 20 days with players injured and a lot missing through work & midweek games for the Saturday team meant that Cawood did very well to even get a team out let alone play any sort of good football...as I'm sure did many other clubs. Up to that point I would say Cawood on a whole were equal with Enterprise/Vaults and Foss as being a form team in the league and I feel that had the games been played out on Sunday mornings that the results would have been a whole different. Shame that such bad organisation cost them. Only played 5 games over december and January with none called off for adverse weather. In fact if I remember correctly they even organised a league game with New Earswick when both teams had the week off.

Not at all Bedders!! In fact the Maypole saw some good refs for those games including the ref that told the Cawood players that it didnt matter that he had given a penalty as there was only 3 mins left!! And some moronic white haired loon that didnt give offside because he knew the "frontman would miss" apart from that we had some good refs. If you want to see some real quality reffing get down to Acomb Rangers pitch.

As i side note- I actually said Inconsistant Officialdomand not "dodgy Offialdom" and if you even watched the game you sould have to agree that it was Inconsistant!! One player shown red for the same offence that was shown Yellow earlier in the game?? Go Figure.

You wont get chance to lift the Trophy as you will be in Div 2 where you will challenge for the big misters cup!! I would bet on you finishing near the bottom of the league and no siverware to grace your mantle!!
