MARK Applegarth gets another chance to reclaim a place in York City Knights' first team tonight as he turns out for the reserves.

Adam Endersby, who has replaced Applegarth in the pack for the last two first-grade games, is also involved, as the Knights host Sheffield at Huntington Stadium (ko 8pm).

Steve Grundy might be eyeing a return to the first team at centre or loose-forward in the wake of David March's injury, and he too will look to impress.

Knights reserves coach Paul Higgins said he wanted the team to build on the two draws in their two previous league games, and to better the performance in the Dwain Chambers friendly' against Castleford.

He said: "It's been four weeks since our last league game and we want to continue our improvement. We need to lift it from the Cas game. I know that was just a friendly but we were a bit patchy."

Higgins was to announce the line-up 90 minutes before kick off.

Knights reserves: from Fraser, Endersby, Walton, Applegarth, Hunter, Rientoul, Blaney, Joe Stearman, Leeke, Grundy, Waldron, Gargan, Hodgson, Maud, O Wilcox-Harrison, T Wilcox-Harrison, Ferris, Jack Stearman, Speck.
