YORK City Knights are hoping their improved relations with Castleford might see a fringe Super League player come to Huntington Stadium.
The Knights are in negotiations with the Tigers about taking Aussie starlet Tom Haberecht on loan.
The 22-year-old impressed for Cas in their reserve friendly against York at The Jungle on Sunday, a game which was specially arranged at short notice so that controversial sprinter Dwain Chambers could taste match action.

Second-row Haberecht is a member of the first-team squad having moved from Australia in the off-season.
It could prove to be another boost for the Knights, with Adam Sullivan looking likely to sign a deal at Huntington Stadium early next week.
Meanwhile, Chambers will have to wait another week to see if he has a future with Cas, as talks between the club, sponsors and his agent are ongoing.
The 30-year-old is expected to travel with the Tigers to the Millennium Magic weekend in Cardiff, where Cas play Wakefield.
