Chris Clough hat-trick helps Knights to 50-12 win over Hunslet

CHRIS Clough was named man of the match after his first-half hat-trick sent York City Knights on the way to a 50-12 pre-season win over Hunslet last night.
The game was York’s last friendly before their first Northern Rail Cup match and Clough, who faces stiff competition for places in a new-look Knights pack, did his bit to impress head coach James Ratcliffe.
Hunslet, York’s potential title rivals in Championship One, only brought a reserve team, but it still proved a decent run-out for Ratcliffe’s men.
