YORK City Knights' Ladbrokes Challenge Cup fourth round tie at home to Swinton Lions on Sunday has been switched to Featherstone Rovers' Post Office Road ground (3pm).

The move comes after York City's National League North fixture against Southport tomorrow was postponed with the Bootham Crescent pitch deemed unplayable due to waterlogging.

Given the lack of available dates before the fifth round of the Challenge Cup, the decision was made to move the Knights' fixture out of town. The Featherstone pitch will still need to pass fit, with snow and freezing temperatures forecast for Yorkshire this weekend.

A club statement said: "The Knights would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to either set of fans by the switch, and place on record our thanks to Andy Mazey and Swinton Lions for their co-operation, alongside Davide Longo at Featherstone Rovers for hosting us at late notice."

Ticket prices are still £15 for adults, £10 for concessions and free for under-16s.
