NEW signing Connor Robinson looks like he will have to wait to make his debut for York City Knights - but there is a new name in the 17 that goes to arch-rivals Hunslet on Sunday.

Robinson, signed from Halifax this week, had been expected to be thrown straight in for Sunday's League One trip to Hunslet in place of Jonny Presley, but, while the new boy is in the 19-man travelling party, boss James Ford has named his veteran playmaker at stand-off, continuing his partnership with Liam Harris.

There are two changes to the side that beat London Skolars last week, though, with Kieran Moran back again in the pack - and fellow Hull KR dual-reg recruit Jake Butler-Fleming, an Aussie centre, a surprise inclusion for a York debut.

They replace Bobby Tyson-Wilson and the misfiring Nev Morrison, while recent recruit Samir Tahraoui again has to wait to make his bow due to his knee injury.

Presley, who staved off retirement over the winter, will almost certainly make way for Robinson in the near future, allowing him to focus on his coaching duties, but Ford did stress this week that the 32-year-old's season was "not over by any means".

On naming his line-up, Ford said: "I'm really happy with how Jonny and Liam Harris have been combining and I don't see a reason to change it in the short-term.

"Obviously it's a new club for Connor and he's still learning our terms and calls and developing some clarity in how I want him to play.

"He will be in the team sooner rather than later but probably not this week."

Butler-Fleming, 25, a former Penrith Panthers junior, joined Hull KR in late 2016 and has played six times this term, scoring two tries. He was in the Rovers team that drew with Featherstone last week, staying clear at the top of the Championship.

Ford said: "Hull KR hold him in high regard. He has been made available this week and I've decided to use him.

"He's been in our practice and I'm happy with how he's fitted in and I'm looking forward to seeing him play."

Ford added: "We will always give our own players an opportunity first and if I'm happy with the standards they produce they will stay in the team regardless of who's available."

It is unclear how long Butler-Fleming will be available for York, but he arrives effectively as a short-term replacement for Nick Rawsthorne, who scored eight tries in five games on loan before going back to Hull. Rawsthorne is expected to play this weekend for Doncaster, Hull's partner club, on dual-reg.

Asked if it was a disappointment to lose him to League One rivals, Ford said: "I understand how it works. I'd like to have him back in our squad but, if that's not possible, somebody else gets an opportunity."

Hunslet coach Gary Thornton, meanwhile, has largely kept the side that impressed in defeat at Barrow last week on his bow as boss - when only a late try sealed victory for the high-riding Raiders after the visitors had had one man sent off and another sin-binned.

In one change, Nyal Flynn makes way for second-row Jake Normington - a scourge of the Knights in the past - while big Lewis Reed and Michael Hayward also return to the 19-man squad.

Knights (probable): Robson, Saxton, Butler-Fleming, Haynes, Foggin-Johnston, Presley, Harris, Robinson, Ellis, Siddons, Batchelor, E Smith, Spears. Subs: Carter, Moran, Dixon, Hey. Stand-by: B Tyson-Wilson, Robinson.

Hunslet: from Watson, Nathaniel, Mvududu, Leeming, Webb, Gibson, Ansell, Haley, Lee, Reed, Normington, Wilson, Mackay, Flanagan, Hesketh, Coventry, Carbutt, Walton, Hayward.
