YORK City Knights fans will get a first look at big new recruit Adam Robinson this weekend as he gears up for his 2017 bow.

The influential second-row - who joined from Championship big guns Halifax over the winter, having scored three tries in four outings on loan last year - missed the opening friendly against Featherstone due to his honeymoon, but he will be in the side that takes on London Broncos at Bootham Crescent on Sunday.

Tommy Saxton may also be fit to feature after his rehabilitation from injury during pre-season.

Head coach James Ford said: "Adam worked really hard before going on honeymoon and it will be good to give him some minutes on the pitch.

"Tommy's not ruled out either - he's been working hard as well, doing some extra sessions in his own time too."

Joe Batchelor, as reported, is out for a month due to a side strain, while fellow former Coventry man Liam Thompson also remains on the treatment table but could be available for Hull's visit on February 13.

Adam Swift is a big doubt after a bang to the knee against Featherstone while trialist Joe Porter is unavailable due to an engagement arranged before he joined the club.
