YORK City Knights have announced ticket prices for 2017 - including free entry to all under-16s.

Seasons tickets are priced £140 for adults and £125 for concessions (65 and over, and students), and match-day admission costs £15 for adults and £10 for concessions. Junior admission is free of charge for all league games, although those prices cup ties where gate receipts are shared between the two clubs are to be confirmed ahead of any home tie.

There is also a membership offer for fans who do not get season tickets.

Season tickets will be available for purchase at the home friendlies against London Broncos on Sunday, January 29, and Hull on Monday, February 13, and via the new club office and website when they are established. The old office on Roland Court has been closed.

Explaining the decision behind free admission for juniors, club backer Mark Campbell said: "We want new fans, we want more people to come, and more young people.

"We want to engage kids on the back of the good stuff the Knights Foundation is doing and get them enjoying coming to games - they're the future. We want to give people no excuses not to come."

Asked if it was a concern that some potential income would be lost in the short-term, he said: "We've got to look further down the road than that.

"If you get kids getting into the habit of watching rugby league and enjoying it, then that's a good thing.

"You can make it affordable for a family of four. If families can come, have a burger, have a coffee and be entertained for a few hours, it's good value for them."
